My husband and I have taken some time off to visit our grand kids in Seattle.   They’ve recently moved here and we’ve never been to Seattle before so we have lots to see and do.   Besides visiting our grandchildren, my sister and her husband came up from Medford Oregon to visit us as we haven’t seen them for over a year.   They’re staying at my daughter’s too.   And four of my sister’s grandchildren have formed a band called the Nautic and they’re playing in a club in this area so one night we all went to see them.   It’s been a long time since I went club hopping but I found I still like to do that.   So we’ve been having a great time of it and still have some days left.

My daughter has gotten into ‘a getting ready for Christmas kick’ and talked me into teaching them all how to make the 16 point paper star ornaments. This is a big project as she apparently wants dozens of them.    After I finally remembered all the steps and was able to teach them all to do them, I thought I was off the hook only to find I still was expected to make bunches of them myself. But as I will only be here a few more days, she will end up having to do most of them.
But, while we’re cutting and folding and fastening them all together we’re chatting and sharing old memories and stories and that’s what make the whole  process memorable.   Somehow I had forgotten how much fun it is to work on a project with others around the kitchen table, maybe you’ll want to start one yourself.
